What Bbabsal is

The company

What does Bbabsal do?

Bbabsal develops critical minerals capability across one integrated value chain: copper exploration in Zambia through Bbabsal Mines Ltd, and planned processing in the United States through Bbabsal Industries Inc, producing rod, wire and oxygen free copper for the grid, transport, data centres and the defence industrial base.

Where does Bbabsal operate?

Exploration is on the Zambian Copperbelt, part of the Central African Copperbelt, the largest sedimentary copper province on earth. Processing capability is being developed in Michigan, United States. Bbabsal Mines Ltd is registered in Zambia and Bbabsal Industries Inc is registered in Ohio.

Is Bbabsal producing copper today?

No. Exploration is underway in Zambia and the US processing plant is in development. Nothing is yet in production, and Bbabsal reports discussions as discussions, not commitments.

How does Bbabsal decide where to explore?

Targets are ranked from a national scale airborne geophysical dataset before any drilling capital is committed. This targeting method led to Bbabsal being selected as a BHP Xplor 2026 finalist, with technical input from BHP.

Status and plans

The programme

Does Bbabsal have a declared mineral resource?

No mineral resource has been declared. Bbabsal is at the exploration stage and says so plainly; results will be reported as they are established.

What will the Michigan facility produce?

The plan is copper rod, wire, cable and oxygen free copper made to the tolerances manufacturers specify. Financing depends on three things in order: secured feedstock, committed offtake, and capital assembled against those contracts.

How does Bbabsal work with communities?

The consent of the communities whose land the work crosses is treated as a licence rather than a courtesy, alongside Zambian regulatory requirements.

How do I contact Bbabsal about investment or partnership?
